Jacob Eason was set to become a Georgia Bulldog. But that may have changed.

Eason, who has been committed to Georgia for more than a year, will make an official visit to Florida on Tuesday.

Eason is the No. 1 quarterback in the nation, according to Rivals.

The five-star quarterback from Lake Stevens, Wash. was planning to enroll at Georgia in January and go through spring practice with the Bulldogs. Earlier this month, head coach Mark Richt flew across the country to visit him on a Sunday.

But Eason’s thoughts have apparently changed since UGA fired Richt on Sunday. Now he’s visiting at least one other school.

Florida had already spoken with Eason in early November, and Eason has been following Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier on Twitter.

The Gators already have one highly-touted quarterback commitment. On Sunday, four-star signal caller Feleipe Franks verbally committed to the Gators, after de-committing from LSU earlier this month. Florida also has a commitment from another quarterback, two-star recruit Kyle Trask of Manvel, Texas.

Quarterback has become a priority for Florida. Will Grier is serving an NCAA-mandated one-year suspension for using a banned performance-enhancing drug. The Gators’ offense has struggled under Grier’s replacement, Treon Harris.

Florida (10-2) will face Alabama (11-1) in the SEC Championship Game this Saturday.
