Billy Napier and Florida need to go back to the drawing board after being embarrassed by Kentucky on the road.

Napier went to the podium after the 33-14 loss. He opened the post-game presser by saying that Florida needs to take a good look in the mirror at itself. Fans will probably agree with him.

The Florida head coach was especially disappointed with the lack of physicality his team showed. He admitted that the Gators were beat in all aspects of the game.

Napier also had an injury update for receiver Caleb Douglas. Douglas will be out for a significant amount of time with a lower leg injury, according to Napier.

Ray Davis shredded the Florida run defense for 280 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns. The Kentucky offense as a whole had 329 yards rushing when it was all said and done. Napier promised that the run defense will be better in the future.

Mark Stoops has now won three consecutive games against Florida in his tenure in Lexington. Napier stated that Florida deserves every bit of criticism it gets.

There were lot of things that didn’t go Florida’s way in the game, but Napier said the fundamentals were not present as well.
