Dan Mullen’s first recruiting class as head coach at Florida received a big boost Wednesday.

Emory Jones, an impressive 4-star dual-threat QB, announced that he is headed to the Gators after being committed to Ohio State. He is rated as the No. 4 dual-threat QB in the nation for 2018 by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, and flipping his decision to the Gators is an impressive win for Mullen.

Landing Jones gives Mullen his first QB recruit as head coach at Florida, and he certainly looks to be a good one. Jones’ skill set should fit nicely in Mullen’s system and will provide Florida a QB to build around moving forward.

Jones selected Florida over Florida State and Ohio State. Heading to the Gators will also allow Jones, who is from Franklin, Georgia, to play his college ball closer to home.
