Disappointment continues for the Florida Gators after a 16-17 regular season and 67-49 loss to UCF in the NIT on Wednesday. According to reports, Niels Lane and Kowacie Reeves are entering, kicking off changes in Florida’s roster.

Reeves started 7 games for the Gators this season and appeared in 31, averaging 8.5 points and 2.6 rebounds. The guard was inconsistent in his shooting, making just 37.7% of his shots from the floor and 26.2% from the  3-point range. Reeves was a Rivals 5-star recruit and ESPN and 247Sports 4-star prospect. He was also rated in the top 30 overall and the No. 6 shooting guard by both Rivals and 247Sports.

Lane is in his third year with Florida, joining the team as a four-star prospect in 2020. Over his 3-year career with the Gators, he made 49 appearances and three starts, averaging 2.3 points with a 44.8 shooting percentage and 1.4 rebounds. Although talented, Lane never really found a solid foothold in Gainesville.
