Florida picked up a recruiting win late Tuesday night, just before Billy Napier is set to meet with the media in Nashville at SEC Media Days on Wednesday.

The Gators flipped 2024 4-star wide receiver Tawaski Adams from his Florida State commitment.

The Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar product is 247Sports Composite’s 276th-ranked prospect for the class of 2024. The 5-foot-11, 190 pound receiver has also garnered interest from LSU and Texas A&M as well.

This is Napier’s 21st commitment to this Gators class that also includes four-star quarterback DJ Lagway and 5-star safety Xavier Filsaime. Both of those players are from Texas.

With the addition of Abrams, Florida now has three wide receivers in this class of 2024. Abrams told On3 that Napier’s vision for the program and coaching staff are why he chose the Gators.

“Coach Billy G and coach Deck,” Abrams told On3. “I have really been chopping it up with them guys since the day I got the offer. Then just been really filling me in on how I can improve the offense and using my speed to not only better myself, but the team.”

Florida now has six players committed from their home state.
