The Florida Gators had a big opening weekend on the gridiron, and Monday, things got even better.

Florida landed a commitment from 4-star OT William Harrod (Fort Washington, MD), who committed to Florida over offers from Michigan, Maryland and Tennessee, among others. Harrod is ranked as the nation’s No. 31 OT and the state of Maryland’s No. 5 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The 6-foot-5, 312-pound tackle is from the same hometown as former Florida standout Joe Haden.

Following Harrod’s commitment, Florida now has 14 commitments for the class of 2019, including two other OL.
