The Florida Gators hosted their annual Friday Night Lights camp, and Jim McElwain and staff picked up three commitments.

The first domino to fall was 2016 Meridian, Mississippi, cornerback Quincy Lenton. The three-star Lenton was previously committed to Geoff Collins — Florida’s new defensive coordinator — at Mississippi State. Lenton is ranked as the No. 18 overall prospect in the state of Mississippi and rated as the No. 28 overall cornerback, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

“I loved the visit. I loved the campus. I got a great tour,” Lenton told 247Sports.

The second player to pull the trigger was 2017 four-star wide receiver Daquon Green. The Tampa, Florida, product is 6-1, 185 pounds, and he’s rated as the No. 29 overall player in the state of Florida. Tampa is an area where the Gators can attack under McElwain and staff.

“The campus and the facilities are real nice,” Green told 247Sports. “I really liked everything they showed me when they took me around. I just like hanging out with the coaches a lot.”

Three-star offensive lineman Brett Heggie also committed to Florida. Heggie is a 2016 center from Mt. Dora, Florida, and he’s rated as the sixth best center in the country and the 108th best player in the state. Heggie committed to Florida over South Carolina, Miami and Mississippi State, among others.

“I’m just most comfortable here,” Heggie told 247Sports. “I’m comfortable with the coaching staff and I’m going to be a Gator.”
