Florida has lost a commitment from class of 2018 wide receiver commit Corey Gammage, according to a report from 247Sports’ Florida team site, GatorBait.net.

Gators head coach Jim McElwain was fired on Sunday afternoon.

Gammage is a 3-star prospect out of Delray Beach, Fla., according to the 247Sports Composite. He is rated as the nation’s No. 107 wide receiver.

Gammage has offers from Florida, Auburn, Miami and Kentucky, among others.

Here’s what the GatorBait report stated:

With news of Florida making a change at head coach, wide receiver commit Corey Gammage announced he was opening his recruitment back up.

Gammage committed to Florida back in April. However, Gammage has not visited Florida’s campus since just prior to that April commitment. He recently told 247Sports that he would take an official visit to Florida in December for his next trip to Gainesville.

Gammage sent out a tweet on Sunday, but he quickly deleted it.

The tweet said, “Due to the coaching changes being made at UF I’m going to open up my recruiting process.”
