Former Florida cornerback Brian Poole (2012-2015), who now plays the same position for the Atlanta Falcons, refuses to make a prediction about this weekend’s Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville, but it’s pretty clear which way he’s leaning.

Poole joined Mike Conti of Sports Radio 92.9 The Game (the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network) on Wednesday afternoon and offered the following statement:

“You’ve been watching the game for the last 20 years,” he said. “I don’t have to make a prediction.”

It’s pretty obvious that Poole is referring to the fact that Florida has dominated Georgia for the better part of two decades now.

The Gators trail Georgia all-time in the series dating back to 1915, 49-43-2, but it has been a different story in the modern era of college football.

Florida is 14-6 against Georgia over the past 20 seasons, and has won three in a row. Furthermore, it won seven in a row over Georgia in the seasons prior to the 20-year time period mentioned by Poole.

Could the Bulldogs flip the script this year? It would appear as though they could, considering UGA comes into the game at 7-0 and ranked No. 3 in the country, while Florida has been mediocre at best while achieving a 3-3 record.

But Poole still believes in his Gators, apparently.
