HOOVER, Ala. — Transitioning from the sideline to the desk, Laura Rutledge has recently been named the new host of SEC Nation.

So much more than a pretty football face — she’s a former Miss Florida and even competed in the Miss America pageant — Rutledge has covered everything from Major League Baseball to, believe it or not, the National Collegiate Paintball Association.

Rutledge was kind enough to spend some time with us Tuesday at the Wynfrey Hotel to talk about her new role at the Worldwide Leader, what it’s like to be on assignment with Tim Tebow and walking down the street with her husband, Boston Red Sox infielder and Alabama alumnus Josh Rutledge. Who gets recognized first when they’re in Tuscaloosa?
