Things have taken an ugly turn for the Florida Gators this season.

The Gators started 3-1 with three straight wins in the SEC, but back-to-back losses to LSU and Texas A&M have put head coach Jim McElwain in a tight spot. Florida has struggled offensively in those two games after scoring at least 26 points in three straight.

Fans of the Gators are becoming more and more restless with the continued struggles. They are continuing to vent their frustrations, and one fan-made sign even dug up a comment from McElwain’s introductory press conference at Florida.

Here is a look at the sign from Edgar Thompson on Twitter:

Jerry Hinen with CBS Sports shared McElwain’s full comment from his initial press conference:

“You got to understand this. I believe I can win with my dog Claribelle,” said McElwain. “That’s the attitude. There’s good players here. That’s just our responsibility to get that going.”

It was certainly a bold claim and one that McElwain would probably like to have back. The offense has not looked great under offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and QB Feleipe Franks this season.

Hopefully the Gators can regroup, but they are facing a tough challenge this weekend in the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs. Saturday’s kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on CBS.
