If Tim Tebow ends up making the final roster in Jacksonville this NFL season, the Heisman Trophy winner is set to make nearly a million dollars playing for the Jaguars.

Considering Tebow currently has the five top-selling jerseys on the NFL Shop just days removed from his official signing in Jacksonville, which cleared the way for the Jaguars to begin the sale of the jersey, the contract given to the converted tight end would appear to be a wise investment by NFL team.

Here are the details of Tebow’s contract in Jacksonville, which comes from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

“The Jaguars gave newly signed TE Tim Tebow a 1-year, $920K contract, source said, with no guaranteed money and an injury split. The minimum. Not a surprise, but another sign that he’ll have to fight to make the team,” Rapoport reported on Friday.

While the Jaguars may be making a wise investment, this appears to be a great deal on paper for Tebow, too. He may be getting the league minimum from the Jaguars but the opportunity to make nearly a million to return to the gridiron would get many of us off the couch and on the practice field.
