Florida appeared to have the Miami game won until Feleipe Franks threw his worst pass of the night.

Up 24-20, the Gators had stopped the Hurricanes on downs to regain possession of the ball, only to give the ball immediately back to Miami — giving the team life in the 2019 season opener. The interception was the fourth turnover of the game in which Franks was involved with as the quarterback has thrown two picks and been involved with two lost fumbles.

Steve Spurrier, who is in Orlando for the game, was obviously not pleased with the signal-callers’ decision.
