Florida couldn’t find the end zone in the first half against Mississippi State, so Dan Mullen decided to go deep into the playbook to give the Gators their first lead on Saturday night.

The Gator coach clearly knows his player’s skill sets, setting up wide receiver Kadarius Toney who was a former quarterback to throw a touchdown pass to tight end Moral Stephens. Felipe Franks tossed a lob out to Toney while the other wide receivers blocked. The Mississippi State secondary didn’t know what hit them and Stephens easily got behind the defense for a touchdown.

The play gave Florida a 10-6 lead in the third quarter in Mullen’s return to Starkville.
