2014 Louisiana Lafayette vs Mississippi

The Ole Miss Rebels had no issues taking care of business against the UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford. The Rebels blew past the Ragin’ Cajuns 56-15 in their 2014 home opener, out-gaining their house guests by 232 yards of total offense (554-322).

Ole Miss senior quarterback Bo Wallace completed 23-of-28 passes for 316 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Wideout Vince Sanders caught eight passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns to lead all Ole Miss receivers, and tailback Jaylen Walton caught two passes for 48 yards and another touchdown from Wallace.

The Rebels’ defense stifled the ULL offense, holding the Ragin’ Cajuns to just 129 yards yards through the air for the game. Senior cornerback Senquez Golson intercepted two passes, returning his second pick 59 yards for a touchdown. Fellow defensive back Mike Hilton also intercepted a pass in the Ole Miss victory.

With the win, Ole Miss improved to 3-0 on the season, and with the loss ULL dropped to 1-2.
