The No. 13 Georgia Bulldogs (3-1, 1-1 SEC) play host to the Vanderbilt Commodores (1-4, 0-3 SEC) on Saturday in Athens for Homecoming. Georgia is coming off a close win against Tennessee.

Here are five Vanderbilt player Georgia fans need to know:

1. Ralph Webb, RB: Webb is the Commodores’ leading rusher with 433 yards on the ground. He’s averaging 4.7 yards per carry and has gotten the bulk of the rush attempts since the season-opener when Jerron Seymour was the feature back early in the year for Vandy. Webb’s a shifty back with great balance.

2. Darrius Sims, KR/PR/DB: Sims torched South Carolina on special teams two weeks ago, taking two kickoffs to the house to keep Vandy in the game into the second half. Sims’ returns on both punt and kick return have given the Commodores good field position. A return or two against Georgia could change the game. Sims also has a pick-six on the defensive side of the ball. Look for the Vandy defense to be active agains the Bulldog passing attack.

3. Nigel Bowden, LB: Bowden is Vanderbilt’s leading tackler on the year with 36 total tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack. Georgia’s offensive line has had suspect moments and Bowden’s an athletic force anchoring the middle of Derek Mason’s defense.

4. Steven Scheu, WR: Scheu is the leading receiver for Vanderbilt with 188 yards on 13 receptions. He’s impressed out the outside this season considering he has not had a quarterback this season that can throw the ball with great consistency. Freshman Wade Freebeck again is expected to get the start Saturday for the ‘Dores. Expect Scheu to be frequently targeted in the passing game.

5. Wade Freebeck, QB: Freebeck has struggled mightily this season in the action he’s seen with little protection. Freebeck’s completing just 42 percent of his passes and has thrown five interceptions. How often he stays upright in the pocket will determine how successful the Vanderbilt offense is.
