Kirby Smart has now lost two big-time commitments within a week as 4-star corner prospect Jalen Perry announced on his Twitter account Thursday that he is decomitting from Georgia.

Perry is the No. 18 cornerback in the country, per the 247 Sports Composite. Playing for Dacula High School in Dacula, Georgia, Perry is the second highly rated in-state prospect to decommit from the Bulldogs. On Tuesday, the nation’s No. 1 wide receiver Jadon Haselwood out of Cedar Grove High School in Georgia announced his decision to back off from his commitment.

Perry and Haselwood both hold offers from schools such as Alabama, Clemson, Florida, and Michigan, among several others. The Bulldogs held the No. 1 class in the country in the 247 2019 Team Rankings just a few days ago, and have now dropped down to the No. 3 class with the decommitments.

Here is Perry’s statement from Thursday afternoon.
