Brock Bowers suffered an apparent leg or ankle injury after a first-half rushing play at Vanderbilt as the star tight end was tackled out of bounds.

Bowers appeared to have trouble putting weight on his left leg, and eventually kneeled to the turf. There was a hold flagged on QB Carson Beck on the play, as Bowers appeared to tweak his left ankle on the play before he was tackled. Bowers had 4 catches for 22 yards and had 2 carries for 11 yards.

Bowers was seen by medical personnel and limped off the field into the medical tent on the Georgia sideline.

Georgia led 14-7 at the time of his injury, which came with 11:27 remaining on 1st down and 10 from the Vanderbilt 25-yard line.

Bowers was later helped into the locker room.

Bowers this season has played himself into Heisman Trophy conversation, and had 37 catches for 545 yards and 4 touchdowns.
