Daijun Edwards led Georgia in rushing this season, and now he’s made a decision about the 2024 season.

Edwards sent a message to Georgia fans on social media, and said that he’s grateful to move on to the NFL. Edwards, who began his career at Georgia in 2020, joined Kendall Milton, who also declared for the NFL Draft.

Edwards had 880 rushing yards this season, including 13 touchdowns. He averaged 5.3 yards per game.

Before the Orange Bowl rout, Edwards played in 11 games this season with 10 starts to date along with 158 carries for 818 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns.

When Edwards came on the scene in 2020, he played in 9 of 10 games and had 37 carries for 218 yards, including season-best performances in road wins: 103 yards (long run of 47 yards) at Missouri, and 14 carries for 77 yards at South Carolina.

The expected departures of Edwards and Milton give way to high-profile transfer Trevor Etienne from Florida, who recently committed to Georgia.
