Georgia likes to pride itself as Running Back U.

The Bulldogs might officially have a new member after RB D’Andre Swift torched the Auburn defense.

Swift delivered a 77-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter of Georgia’s rout of the Tigers as it gave the Bulldogs a 27-10 victory. That came just a week after he had an 83-yard run at Kentucky.

That means he’s the first Georgia player with multiple 75-yard TD runs since Herschel Walker in 1980.

He had a career-high 186 yards rushing on just 17 carries overall against Auburn.

Swift appears to be coming into his own late in the season after he battled a groin injury early in the season. It was discussed during the ESPN broadcast that he had groin surgery in January.

That slowed him for much of the season as he was expected to become a main part of the rushing attack following the NFL departures of Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Swift didn’t reach 100 yards in a game until two weeks ago against Florida. But now he’s closing in on 1,000 yards for the season.

With two regular season games, the SEC Championship Game and a bowl game remaining, he should have a quality chance at that.
