David Pollack’s time on College GameDay has come to an end with the former Georgia star included in ESPN’s latest wave of layoffs from Friday.

Pollack was far from the only notable individual let go by the network with other prominent on-air members included in the layoffs. However, fans took time to voice displeasure at the news of Pollack’s removal.

Late Friday evening, Pollack took time to release a video reacting to the news. He focused on the positives, reflecting with gratitude on his time spent with ESPN.

“I think a lot of the news came out today, a lot of y’all heard I won’t be brought back to College GameDay next year or to ESPN. I just want to say thank you to so many people, I just appreciate everybody along the journey, 12-13 years ago, ESPN taking a chance on me and all the people I got to work with. Man, I got to work with some great people and do so many things that were so awesome for many years and I’m just thankful for it.”

As for his next steps, Pollack admitted he does not have anything immediately in mind but said he will move forward in faith that the next step will be amazing.

“I don’t know what’s next, I have no clue what’s next in my life,” said Pollack. “But one thing God has shown me all along the way is He is for me. He’s not against me. NFL: broke my neck, career is over, found TV. Found coaching the last couple of years, found speaking the last couple of years so I know God has something amazing for me.”
