Daylen Everette, a 5-star cornerback out of IMG Academy, who recently decommitted from Clemson, has announced a commitment to Georgia.

Everette is the No. 6 corner and the No. 29 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds.

The announcement gave Georgia 4 5-star commits out of their 27 pledges, and the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class for the 2022 cycle.

Everette has been in the mix with some of the top programs for months.

Everette played his sophomore season in Norfolk, Virginia before he transferred to IMG in 2020. He decommitted from Clemson 4 days ago after Brent Venables took the head coaching position at Oklahoma. He gave his pledge to the Tigers back in July and at that time, Georgia was heavily involved. He took his official visit to UGA on June 18. After reopening his recruitment, Everette took an official visit to Alabama over the weekend, Dawgs247 reported.
