Dylan Raiola announced on Monday that he has flipped his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska.

The longtime Bulldogs commit and Georgia native made his announcement in the form of a poem. Raiola mentioned Georgia several times in his 12-line rhyme and shared some insight into why he decided to flip to Nebraska.

Georgia’s status as a “powerhouse” seems to have played a part in this decision. Raiola, a Nebraska legacy, will now play in Lincoln with a chance to bring the Huskers back to prominence.

Written in the voice of ‘The Night Before Christmas,’ here’s Raiola’s poem:

In the realm of college dreams where purpose takes flight,

Enter Dylan Raiola, crafting his narrative in the night.

Once lured by Georgia, where powerhouse glory gleamed,

Yet Nebraska’s purpose in his heart brightly beamed.

In the scarlet and cream, where legacies entwine,

Dylan, like Rodgers, Rozier, and Crouch, a hero in line.

No longer a cog in some powerhouse machine,

But a quarterback, with an even grander ambition unseen.

So fellow fans await, with home in the air,

For Dylan to chose, his purpose to declare.

In a weekend’s decision, destiny calls,

To fulfill his purpose, where a new dynasty enthralls.

Raiola’s father played for Nebraska and his uncle, Donovan Raiola, is currently on staff with the Huskers as their offensive line coach. Raiola becomes Nebraska’s highest-ranked recruit in recent memory.

Despite the decommitment, Georgia still owns the nation’s No. 1-ranked class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The Early Signing Period begins on Wednesday.
