The state of Georgia has been good to former Bulldog WR Reggie Davis, who is from Tallahassee, Florida. He played his college ball in Athens, and now, the defending NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons will give him his first shot to be a pro.

The Falcons announced via their official Twitter account and the team website that Davis had stuck after his tryout during rookie minicamp and would be given a shot to make the roster.

During his four years at Georgia, Davis accumulated 38 receptions for 618 yards at a healthy rate of 16.5 yards per reception. He also chipped in two touchdowns, the most notable of which came on a 98-yard play against North Texas in his freshman season.

Davis set a UGA bowl record with five kickoff returns for 76 yards in the Liberty Bowl win vs. TCU.
