Gary Danielson was curious to see how Georgia would adjust the offense in the absence of Brock Bowers against Florida.

Bowers missed the game with an ankle injury, so the Bulldogs had to rework some things. Danielson joined the Miller and Moulton Podcast on Monday to talk about the 43-20 win.

Danielson said that he wasn’t surprised the offense adjusted, but was more so curious to see how Georgia would do that. Danielson said that Georgia adjusted by trusting Carson Beck to spread the ball around.

“I wasn’t surprised, but I was curious to see how they did it,” said Danielson. “They did it by trusting Carson Beck to run an offense that had to spread the ball around and this just in, Carson Beck is really a good quarterback. You don’t get recruited to Georgia, Florida, Alabama if you’re not an elite level player.”

One person that Georgia had to worry about replacing was Todd Monken.  Monken left to be the offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens.

Danielson credit Mike Bobo for a smooth transition.

“The other person Georgia fans worried about was replacing Todd Monken. We’re gonna have to look at Mike Bobo for the National Coach of the Year for the job he’s done.,” said Danielson. “Because of injuries, players transferring, and going into the draft. 11 key contributors from this team a year ago and Bobo has them humming.”

Lastly, Danielson’s message to Georgia fans was that Beck was just as good as advertised. Replacing Stetson Bennett was tough, but the Bulldogs have found a way.

“Everybody’s like, ‘Come on Georgia fans, ease up a little bit. Quit trying to look for the one crack.’ But isn’t that what you do? When your team is trying to win a national championship, you start to look for what could possibly keep us from winning,” said Danielson. “Everybody said, ‘Well we’ve gotta replace Stetson Bennett.’ Will Carson Beck be good enough? He is good enough.”
