With news that the SEC directed Georgia to not play its home-and-home schedule against Oklahoma in 2023, the Bulldogs have replaced the Sooners with Ball State for a game on Sept. 9.

Ball State has faced teams from the SEC 11 times in program history, including this season’s opener at Tennessee. Georgia and Ball State have never played. The Cardinals are off to an 0-2 start this season. They lost to Tennessee to open the season, 59-10, and last week fell to Western Michigan, 37-30.

As the expansion of Oklahoma and Texas continues to evolve, look for more announcements like these as teams continue to update future schedules.

Other games on Georgia’s 2023 schedule include UT-Martin on Sept. 2, UAB on Sept. 23 and at Georgia Tech on Nov. 25 for the non-conference portion of the slate.
