A Jacksonville, Florida native, Speed joined the Bulldogs in 2017. Over 5 seasons, he played in 48 games. Speed played in just 2 games during the 2018 season, allowing him to take a redshirt in his second year. The NCAA’s COVID waiver for the 2020 season allows Speed to suit up for a sixth season as a super redshirt senior.
In his career, Speed totaled 25 tackles (13 in 2021). Out of Sandalwood High School, Speed was a 3-star recruit with 38 scholarship offers, including Auburn, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
