Georgia on Saturday picked up a commitment from a JUCO defensive lineman who originally pledged to the Bulldogs out of the class of 2023.
Seven Cloud, originally from the Atlanta area and a standout at Butler CC in Kansas, announced via a post on X on Saturday that he had committed to the Dawgs to continue his college career.
Cloud was considered a 3-star recruit in the 2023 class. He originally committed to play for the Bulldogs but ultimately went the JUCO route, landing at Butler and redshirting as a freshman.
In 2024, he enjoyed a strong campaign, making 48 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, and 5.5 sacks. He also forced a pair of fumbles while recovering one. Now, Cloud will indeed play at Georgia and will look to break into the rotation in the FBS ranks.
The Bulldogs are 11-2, coming off a win over Texas in the SEC Championship Game and earning the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff. They will face either Notre Dame or Indiana in the Sugar Bowl quarterfinal on New Year’s Day, with the winner of that one moving on to the semifinal at either the Orange Bowl or Cotton Bowl.
