Less than a week after a rough night in Bryant-Denny Stadium, Georgia got some good news from Tuscaloosa.

American Christian Academy defensive back Kamari Lassiter announced his commitment to the Bulldogs over fellow finalists Auburn, Clemson and Georgia Tech during a school homecoming event on Thursday. Though he’s currently in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Lassiter is from the state of Georgia, as he mentioned to Rivals’ Chad Simmons earlier this week.

On 247Sports, Lassiter is rated a Composite 3-star recruit, the No. 11 recruit in the state of Alabama, No. 26 cornerback and No. 355 prospect overall nationally. He also received offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
