Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, a 6-foot-7 and 215-pound transfer from Oklahoma State has committed to Georgia, according to a post on his Instagram page.

Moncrieffe, a Toronto native, averaged 4.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in 14.8 minutes per game last season as a sophomore. He started 7 of 30 games in which he played and shot 51 percent from the floor. One personal connection was assistant coach Erik Pastrana recruited Moncrieffe to Oklahoma State out of high school.

“EP recruited me since I was 17 or 18 years old so we had that relationship and he coached me for a year and we had success when he was with me so that made it a lot easier,” Moncrieffe told 247Sports. “Erik I obviously knew, but the whole staff made I really feel comfortable with because I had a great visit and got to make great relationships with them.”

He’s the fourth transfer to commit to Mike White and the Bulldogs, and he shared what he plans to do.

“Georgia fans should expect that dog every night. I bring a lot of energy level to the table,” he said. “A lot of rebounding, pushing the floor, athleticism, dunks, playing with energy and just giving it my all for a lot of wins. That’s what they can expect.”
