Jamaree Salyer and the Georgia Bulldogs earned their first national championship since 1980 this season, taking down Alabama 33-18 in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
Alabama WR Jameson Williams suffered an injury early in the second quarter and missed the rest of the game. On Wednesday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, he said he believes the Tide would have won the game if he hadn’t gotten hurt.
But, on Thursday, Salyer, a Georgia offensive lineman, wasn’t going to dive into the hypothetical game. He said simply that the game was over and Georgia scored more points:

Salyer added that coach Kirby Smart made sure the Dawgs were ready for the Playoff after Alabama beat them in the SEC Championship Game:
Salyer on SEC championship loss to Alabama: “We had a lot of wasted plays. … it wasn’t as if they just whooped us.” Salyer said Kirby Smart addresses conditioning with his team after that game.

With the way Smart and Nick Saban have created juggernauts at their respective schools, this might not be the last time we see the 2 SEC powerhouses square off with a title on the line.
