Jordan Davis and Georgia players and coaches arrived in Miami on Sunday evening, and the Bulldogs will get set to continue their preparation for Michigan when practice resumes on Monday.

Davis had a media availability with bowl officials as College Football Playoff policies prevented any in-person media events.

“Not too many teams have this opportunity,” Davis said. “Just being here, it’s a great experience and a great opportunity to show what we can do.”

Davis said the Georgia families have adapted to the bowl travel schedule happening around Christmas, and they would spread Christmas cheer with them later.

“This season is all about making history and breaking records,” Davis said. “We’re definitely honored to be a part of it and just ready to get to it.”

“We’re feeling good, we just have to do what got us here,” Davis said. “We’ll do what we’ve been doing all season and keep working.”

Asked about his strong season, Davis thanked his teammates and said he couldn’t have done it without them.

“Whatever awards I get is mostly for them, my family too,” he said. “I have the support of a million people. I’m just ready to make them proud.”

Davis said Michigan has an athletic team and it’s up to the Georgia defense to contain the Wolverines, and stop them.
