JT Daniels has lost his starting job at West Virginia ahead of the Mountaineers game against Kansas State, per a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Daniels, the former Georgia quarterback who transferred to WVU after Stetson Bennett won the starting job, was benched during last week’s game against Oklahoma. Garrett Greene replaced Daniels and delivered the 23-20 win over Oklahoma. Green rushed for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Daniels started 7-of-12 for 65 yards and 1 interception against the Sooners prior to Greene being inserted into the game.

This week, Neal Brown is starting Greene.

West Virginia just fired its athletic director and Brown is likely on the hottest seat in the nation. So, Greene gives WVU a spark that Daniels may not entering Week 11. Bowl eligibility is on the line.

Through 10 games this season, Daniels has thrown for 2,107 yards, 13 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. The Mountaineers are 4-6 on the season.
