Kirby Smart met with reporters postgame to discuss Georgia’s huge win over No. 9 Ole Miss.

One of the biggest headlines from Georgia’s win was the return of Brock Bowers who suffered a high ankle injury against Vanderbilt a few weeks ago.

Following the game Smart hinted that Bowers had “people” – almost certainly meaning agents – in Bowers’ ear telling him to simply rest the remainder of the season to prepare for the NFL Draft. No need to risk injury, in their eyes.

But Bowers obviously didn’t take their advice. According to Smart, the “advice” did nothing but “piss him off.”

Bowers is a competitor:

When Georgia’s best players have that mindset it starts to make perfect sense why the Bulldogs just continue to win. And after working his way back from injury Bowers turned in a cool 3 reception performance for 34 yards and a touchdown.

The Bulldogs will next face off against Tennessee in Knoxville.
