Kirby Smart spoke on the status of running back Kenny McIntosh following the Bulldogs’ 39-22 win over Kent State Saturday.

McIntosh exited the Bulldogs’ win with just under 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a leg injury at the time.

“He had a thigh contusion going into the game,” Smart clarified postgame. “We think he’s going to be fine.”

McIntosh was active on a Bulldogs unit that was gashing Kent State early and often Saturday. The Bulldogs amassed 257 yards rushing, while McIntosh accounted for 44 of those yards on 9 carries.

It wasn’t the dominant Georgia bludgeoning that everyone expected. Kent State scored more points than all other Georgia opponents have combined this season.

Still, the Bulldogs are 4-0 at the end of the day and will likely remain No. 1 in the AP Poll next week. Hard to complain about that.
