It was a historic night for Kirby Smart as Georgia cruised past UAB 49-21.

The Bulldogs’ head coach broke legendary Alabama coach Bear Bryant’s SEC record for win percentage through 100 games. He also beat Nick Saban’s record for on-field wins through 100 games at an SEC school.

“Seems fast, you know, seams really fast,” Smart said on the ESPN broadcast after the game.

Smart had some jokes after he was told that he achieved the record and passed legendary coaches like Bryant, Saban and Steve Spurrier.

“I probably had an easier schedule,” Smart said after the game.

Smart has made Georgia fans very happy in his time with Georgia, and he’s looking to keep the historic success rolling as the Bulldogs seek a third-straight national championship.

Despite a blowout win on Saturday, Smart was a little disappointed with his defense for allowing 21 points. While it ultimately didn’t matter, he wants to clean up some lapses next week.

Smart also addressed the absence of key pass rusher Mykel Williams, telling media that he was sick and will be back with the team next week.

Georgia will get a test next week as it takes on Auburn and looks to stay perfect on the season.
