Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs had plenty to celebrate on Saturday. UGA beat Auburn 21-14 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The win boosted the Dawgs to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in conference play. Georgia still has an SEC game left against Texas A&M, but even with a loss, the Bulldogs have locked up the SEC East thanks to the head-to-head tiebreaker over Florida (9-2, 6-2 SEC).

Smart joins Steve Spurrier as the only other SEC East coach to lead his team to the SEC Championship Game three consecutive years. Smart can tie Spurrier’s streak of five consecutive appearances (1992-96) if the Dawgs go in 2020 and ’21.
