Georgia is hoping to get to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game, but could one opposing team present a challenge for the Bulldogs?

The Bulldogs are undefeated and up to No. 3 in the AP Poll and are clearly in the drivers seat for the SEC East race. Georgia has four games remaining in the SEC beginning with a matchup against Florida this weekend.

The Bulldogs will likely be favored in every game the rest of the way with the toughest matchup looking like a road game against Auburn. However, one analyst sees an SEC East rival that could present a threat to Georgia.

The SEC Network’s Marcus Spears is impressed by South Carolina, and he said in a recent segment that the Gamecocks are probably the Bulldogs biggest threat in the east.

“They’re my biggest threat to Georgia in the SEC,” said Spears.

He credited the Gamecocks ability to rebound from key injuries while playing to the strength of QB Jake Bentley and showing an ability to run the ball. Spears also praised head coach Will Muschamp and said that his teams are going to be disciplined.

It is worth noting that the Gamecocks already feature two SEC losses while the Bulldogs are undefeated. South Carolina would need to win the head-to-head matchup against Georgia and have the Bulldogs drop another game down the stretch.

The matchup between the Bulldogs and the Gamecocks is set for Nov. 4. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on CBS.
