Nick Chubb suffered what appeared to be a serious leg injury during the Browns’ game against the Steelers on Monday Night Football.

Chubb had to be carted to the locker room after being tackled in the red zone early in the 2nd quarter on Monday night.

Here’s the play:

ESPN’s broadcast declined to show replays of the injury. Chubb remained on the field for several minutes while he received medical attention. He was eventually taken via cart to the locker room.

If Chubb’s injury is as serious as it seems, it would be devastating for both him and the Browns. Chubb has long been considered one of the NFL’s best at the running back position.

Chubb is in his 6th NFL season. He’s been relatively durable throughout his pro career — he played in all 17 regular season games a year ago and has never played in fewer than 12 games in a season.

The former Georgia running back went for 64 yards on 10 carries vs. Pittsburgh before exiting the game with the injury.
