The Georgia Bulldogs captured their first SEC Championship since 2005, and freshman QB Jake Fromm played a huge role in the big win.

Fromm was thrust into the starting lineup for the Bulldogs early this season after an injury to Jacob Eason. He has stepped up time and time again, and he has now erased the memory of his lone loss this season with a spectacular showing in Atlanta.

Fromm was mostly ineffective in a 40-17 loss to Auburn earlier in the season. He completed just 13 of 28 passes for 184 yards and a TD in that matchup. The Bulldogs would need a much stronger performance in the SEC Championship, and Fromm came through.

Fromm completed 16 of 22 passes for 183 yards and 2 TDs in the impressive SEC Championship victory for the Bulldogs. One stat from PFF College Football illustrates just how impressive Fromm was when kept clean from pressure:

Fromm definitely stepped up for the Bulldogs in a big way.
