One more time: Georgia DB Deandre Baker announces return for senior season

After losing Trent Thompson and Roquan Smith early to the 2018 NFL Draft, Georgia got some good news Monday afternoon as junior defensive back Deandre Baker announced he will put his NFL dreams on hold for another year in order to return to Athens for his senior season.

Coming off a Second Team All-SEC Selection season, Baker likely would have been selected in the upcoming draft but instead will help the Dawgs defend the SEC title while hope to improve his pro stock with another season on the college gridiron.

The junior defensive back has appeared in 38 games over the last three seasons for Georgia and will provide some much-needed leadership to Georgia following the departure of so many defensive starters. Baker will now be one of two defensive back starters to return for the Dawgs in 2018.
