When Mark Richt knows who his quarterback will be, he’ll have peace. Right now, however, he has none.

The Bulldogs scrimmaged Saturday morning, and Richt came away saying he was probably more confused about the quarterback position following the scrimmage than he was entering it.

“Walking away from the practice I feel like I know less about what to do than I did going in,” Richt said according to the AJC. “That’s just my first impression. We’ll watch the film and we’ll make a determination.”

Brice Ramsey, Greyson Lambert and Faton Bauta shared reps with the first team Saturday, but Richt is going to pray about the competition in an effort to receive some peace about who should be the starting quarterback.

“I’d like to know and have peace,” Richt said, via the AJC. “I’m waiting for some peace. When I have to make big decisions and I have little time to make it, my goal is I like to pray about it, I like to think about it and then I like to have some peace that, hey, this is the right thing to do. I don’t have that peace right now.

“I’m a pretty patient guy, but the clock’s ticking.”

The clock is indeed ticking, and two weeks from today, the Bulldogs will have already played one game of their 12-game season.
