Stetson Bennett was tremendous for Georgia in its SEC Championship game win over LSU on Saturday.

The senior quarterback completed 23-of-29 passes for 274 yards and 4 touchdowns in the 50-30 victory over the Tigers.

But it wasn’t just Bennett’s stats that impressed. It was his overall play, as he was in complete control of the game.

Bennett has been considered a Heisman Trophy contender for much of the 2022 season but most haven’t regarded him as the favorite to win the award.

His play on Saturday opened eyes, however, and former Heisman winner Robert Griffin III took to Twitter on Saturday night to call Bennett’s outing “the most Heisman like performance of the weekend.”

For the season, Bennett has passed for 3,425 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just 6 interceptions for the 13-0 Bulldogs.

He also added 7 rushing touchdowns for the No. 1 team in the country.
