Stetson Bennett was named the Offensive Player of the Game following a sensational performance when he passed for 330 yards on 22-for-32 passing and 3 touchdowns. Georgia knocked off Michigan 34-11 in the Orange Bowl and setup a rematch with Alabama, this time in the national championship in Indianapolis.

After the game, Bennett spoke with Marty Smith of ESPN about the performance.

“It felt nice after that last game that we had,” Bennett said. “We came out and executed. Especially the first half. I mean it felt awesome, there’s not much else I can say.”

Smith then asked Bennett about what he’s faced, and lately, it’s questions about whether he can win a national championship for Georgia.

“You put your head down and you work every single day,” Bennett said. “There’s a lot of words coming out from other people, but these right here, they never say anything, they just come to work every single day and they’ve got my back, and it makes it really easy.”

Bennett was asked what Georgia’s ceiling is ahead of the rematch with Alabama.

“Hopefully to win it,” Bennett said. “I think we’re good enough. Obviously they’re a great team, but yeah, we’re going to enjoy this one tonight and then start preparing for them tomorrow.”
