Jake Fromm should be 2-0 against Alabama. Instead, he’s 0-2.

He can’t accept responsibility for the losses, however. Alabama just wanted it more than Georgia. First, it was the College Football Playoff championship game in 2018 (2017 season). Georgia had Alabama 23-20 in overtime, but Tua Tagovailoa’s 2nd and 26 happened for the game-winning touchdown. Then, Jalen Hurts rallied Alabama in last year’s SEC Championship Game to win 35-28.

So, what does Fromm have to do in order to lead Georgia past Alabama? Tim Tebow was asked that very question Saturday morning on SportsCenter.

“I don’t think he has to change anything,” Tebow said. “He’s been one of the best players in the country. Georgia needs to surround him with playmakers on the outside. The biggest question for Georgia is who can step up and be the next AJ Green and be a playmaker.”

That is the biggest question for the Dawgs in 2019. Georgia is loaded with tremendous depth everywhere; however, wide receiver is a big unknown.

The Bulldogs lost their top four receivers from last year, not including tight end Isaac Nauta. UGA needs two or three receivers to step up and fill vacancies.

Mecole Hardman (left for NFL), Riley Ridley (left for the NFL), Terry Godwin (graduated) and Jeremiah Holloman (kicked off team) are all gone. The Dawgs top returning receiver is Tyler Simmons, who recorded just nine catches in 2018.

Georgia’s quest to find and develop those playmakers starts Saturday against Vanderbilt. The Bulldogs and Commodores kickoff Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
