Todd Monken is headed back to the NFL.

The Baltimore Ravens announced his hiring on Tuesday morning. This will be his 3rd stint in the NFL.

Monken had previously been linked to the Ravens’ OC vacancy. Prior to his arrival in Athens, Monken called plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was also the WR coach for the Jaguars from 2007-10.

Monken helped lead the Bulldogs to the last 2 National Championships. He’s regarded as one of the best offensive coordinators in football, making this a huge loss for UGA.

Monken has been with Georgia since the 2020 season. During his time leading UGA’s offense, the program went 37-3. Two of those losses came during a pandemic-altered 2020 campaign.

It’s currently unclear if Georgia will choose to promote from within or conduct a search outside the program for its next offensive coordinator.
