Zachariah Branch has committed to Georgia, according to a report.
That’s per 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, who shared that news on Sunday afternoon. Branch, a former standout at USC, was one of the most sought-after transfers in the country this offseason regardless of position.
Now, he’ll be continuing his collegiate career in Athens:
Branch, a former 5-star prospect, spent the first 2 seasons of his collegiate career at USC. He entered the transfer portal along with his brother, Zion Branch, last month. The duo have been recruited by some of the top programs in the country since entering the portal. Zion Branch, a defensive back, has also committed to Georgia according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Zachariah Branch is rated as the No. 4 overall player in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The Branch brothers are Georgia’s first transfer portal commits so far this offseason as well.
Branch is coming off of a solid season in Lincoln Riley’s offense at USC. He caught 47 passes for 503 yards this season. Zachariah Branch is expected to immediately make an impact and elevate Georgia’s wide receiver room in 2025.
UGA is expected to continue being aggressive with high-impact transfer candidates in the coming weeks as it build out its roster for 2025.
