Kentucky basketball has had some great players come through the program before. A couple of former players were on featured on ESPN for individual performances.

ESPN’s Myron Medcalf released a list of the 25 best individual performances in college basketball on Wednesday. Anthony Davis and Jodie Meeks made the cut.

It won’t be much longer before the Bluegrass State is up and running with a mouthwatering DraftKings Kentucky Promo Code. In the meantime, Kentucky sports bettors looking to edge the competition can pre-register with DraftKings Kentucky Sportsbook en route to a tremendous $200 Pre-Launch Bonus.

Davis didn’t shoot very well during the 2012 National Championship, but was a force in another aspects. Davis had 16 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 5 assists. His efforts made him No. 10 on the list.

Medcalf described Davis as dominant.

“If you look at the box score of the national championship game between Kentucky and Kansas in 2012, you’ll see that Davis finished a dismal 1-for-10 shooting and scored just six points overall in the 67-59 win. But that only tells part of the story. Davis dominated in other ways: he had 16 rebounds, six blocks, five assists and three steals and created enough of a defensive gridlock that Kansas made just 33.3% of its shots inside the arc.”

Meeks set a Kentucky record in 2009 after scoring 54 points against Bruce Pearl’s Tennessee team. Meeks came in at No. 17.

Bruce Pearl said that Meeks was un-guardable after the game.

“Meeks had one of the most explosive seasons in recent history, ending 2008-09 eighth in the nation in scoring (23.7 PPG). In particular, his school-record 54 points (10-for-15 from beyond the arc, 15-for-15 on free throws) in a 90-72 road win stood out. Former Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl said his players ‘couldn’t guard [Meeks]’ following the game.”

Some of the other performances on the list involved Carmelo Anthony, Steph Curry, and Jimmer Fredette.
