Former Kentucky star released by Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins released former Kentucky star Lynn Bowden Jr. Tuesday.
Bowden was set to enter his third year in the NFL in 2022, a career that has seen its share of hiccups. He suffered a hamstring injury that held him out of all of last season. Bowden had a promising preseason, but was cut before the 53-man deadline at 4 pm Tuesday in lieu of Miami’s talented wide receiver corps.
ESPN insider Adam Schefter broke the news Tuesday morning.

Bowden is a folk hero of sorts for Big Blue Nation. The do-it-all receiver entered his junior season on Biletnikoff watchlists, but moved to quarterback following injuries to Kentucky’s No. 1 and No. 2 options.
He kept moving around the offense his junior season. He finished the year with 185 attempted rushes for 1,468 yards and 13 touchdowns, 30 receptions for 348 yards and 1 touchdown and completed 35 passes for 403 yards, 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Talk about versatile.
Appreciate y’all Miami ?
