Kentucky basketball fell to UNC Wilmington Saturday afternoon, 80-73. The Wildcats are now 6-2 on the season with a win over Miami and losses to UNCW and Kansas.

Saturday’s final is an ode to the pure chaos that is college basketball. The Wildcats are fresh off their most impressive win of the season and promptly suffered their worst loss of the year to date.

UNC Wilmington, meanwhile, lost to East Carolina by 8 on Thursday and follows it up with what will likely go down as their best win all season.

This is the first game for Wildcats freshman Aaron Bradshaw, who made his season debut while DJ Wagner sits following an injury suffered against Miami. Bradshaw finished with 3 points and 2 rebounds, not playing much past the first few minutes.

Reed Sheppard was a bright spot from a poor performance. The talented freshman guard posted 25 points with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. 25 points ties his career high, which he set 4 games ago against Stonehill.

The Wildcats have the week off and will be back in action next Saturday against Penn.
